Member of Parliament Wassila Hachchi (D66) started a crowdfunding campaign to finance the new online platform Dialogue Digital. With this platform, she wants to promote social dialogue in the Netherlands and across national borders.

Hachchi (D66) presented the platform earlier this year during an edition of TEDx Women in Amsterdam. Facebook, Twitter, but also other social media, according to her, do not have the environment to conduct serious substantive discussions. With Dialogue Digital, a social medium must be created that enables people worldwide to talk to each other about important social themes.

The starting point is that every dialogue starts with a statement, based on current events or underexposed themes. Furthermore, Dialogue Digital offers users the possibility to share videos, photos and blogs from other social media.

Dialogue Digital is already online, but to expand the platform nationally and internationally, Hachchi needs extra funding. That is why she founded the Dialogue Digital foundation and runs a crowdfunding campaign on Oneplanetcrowd. A target amount of 33, 000 euros has to be realized before 1 September 2015.
