Bart Sattler thought that film posters are ideal for online sales. Now he sells them with profit through PosterSale.nl. "During an internship I was thinking about what would be suitable for online sales, you do not have to touch posters, you can view them online and the convenience of home delivery is great." During a job at the Pathé cinema, the then HEAO student saw how popular film posters are. That became the niche.

Every year the 25-year-old Sattler sells "two to three thousand" movie posters, mainly to Dutch and Belgians, but recently there was also a large order from Japan. The posters cost fourteen euros each, which in theory produces a turnover of between 28 and 42 thousand euros. Whoever buys more posters, however, receives a discount. So the exact turnover remains a bit of a guess, Sattler also does not say much about the profit. "I have no reason to complain."

In addition to his work for PosterSale.nl, Sattler is also doing a Master's degree in Business Administration at the University of Groningen, which is why he does not have to be able to get around his company completely. He invests the profit in new activities, such as a tracker, with which the customer can follow an order. "The next step is to set up similar sites for music and art posters."

Will Sattler continue to be an internet entrepreneur after his doctoral degree? "If I have to be completely satisfied with PosterSale.nl, it will be difficult to invest in the company, that will be a disadvantage." Moreover, I do not have a lot of experience in the business world, so it seems to me to be in the marketing department of, for example, Philips. to work."
