Full-service mobile marketing agency Buongiorno Digital has a new name Lumata Netherlands. The objective does not change: support companies in integrating mobile into their overall marketing strategy.

Buongiorno Digital was originally an Italian company that, in 2007, acquired the Dutch mobile marketing company HotSMS. HotSMS was the first mobile marketing agency in the Netherlands in 1999 and has won various (international) advertising awards, including a Gouden Spinaward for best mobile concept (Red Bull Flugtag 2007).

Since 2009, Buongiorno Digital has started to focus on social media marketing. The agency has now developed over 500 social media campaigns and 50 Facebook apps for various brands.

Due to the growing number of smartphone users, social media is now more used on the mobile than on the PC. This makes social media increasingly a part of mobile. While mobile and social are completely embraced by the consumer, brands seem to have more trouble with this. Mobile and social initiatives are often seen as isolated projects, while there is a huge opportunity to build long-term customer relationships, when these channels are integrated into the overall marketing strategy, the company states in a press statement.

According to Jochem de Klein, Country Manager Lumata Netherlands, there are more than 100 parties active that build mobile apps. They call themselves a mobile marketing agency, while they advise their customers from a technical perspective. "We want to distinguish ourselves by determining from the marketing objectives which mobile and social marketing tools are most suitable for deployment."
