Amsterdam, Nov. 19, 2013 - The Zoomin.TV in Amsterdam, mainly known for the (news) videos on internet sites, has had great success with self-produced video content and formats in the categories News, Entertainment, Music and Games. Especially the last segment is very popular worldwide. With more than 500, 000 subscribers, channel zooming is the Zoomin.TV flagship of a total of 34 channels with their own produced video content . In addition to YouTube, the Zoomin.TV video content also performs well on platforms such as Daily Motion, Blinkx and dozens of others.

Due to the popularity of their own channels, many other YouTube channels worldwide have joined Zoomin.TV. In the past 12 months, a so-called Multi Channel Network (MCN) has been built with a total of more than 6, 000 channels. This makes Zoomin.TV the number 1 in Europe and the number 14 worldwide and for the first time the limit of 200, 000, 000 videos viewed per month has been broken. By far the largest part of this millions of people - about 25% - comes and looks from the United States to English and Spanish-speaking channels . In the Netherlands, around 5 million people watch every month. In order to perpetuate growth, Zoomin.TV will focus more and more on the growth markets in South America and Asia, as well as in the English-speaking areas, and will develop activities there.

The MCN also manages the copyright on YouTube on behalf of partner sites, as a result of which the income for rights holders is significantly higher. The main reasons for a channel to join the Zoomin.TV MCN is the potential for growth in views and subscribers and the growth in RPM (revenue per thousand views). Zoomin.TV accomplishes this through cross promotion between channels in the MCN and because Zoomin.TV, in addition to YouTube, also logs advertising campaigns on its MCN inventory through its YouTube-certified ad servers . In addition, Zoomin.TV is unique for MCNs because it distributes not only on YouTube but also beyond, via the worldwide network of more than 2, 000 websites.

Jaap van den Berg, director of Zoomin.TV, responsible for the development of the MCN: "MCNs on YouTube have recently experienced a stormy growth. At the same time, television and film production companies are struggling to reach a younger audience, which is increasingly going to online television. These two developments combined resulted in a large number of acquisitions and participations in the past year with growing market valuations. For example, AwesomenessTV was taken over by Dreamworks in May this year - comparable in views with Zoomin.TV - against a valuation of $ 150 million. Larger networks such as MakerRPM raised $ 44 million at Time Warner and Machinima $ 35 million at Google. This amounts to a valuation of around 600 dollars per 1, 000 views per month ".

The boisterous growth of the Zoomin.TV MCN seems to be only accelerating for the time being. There is also more and more premium content, previously only available through offline television, available via YouTube in VOD (Video on Demand) and SVOD (Subscription based Video on Demand) channels . With its MCN, Zoomin.TV has placed itself at the forefront of Europe to benefit from the 'boom' expected by experts in on-line video consumption. In order to be able to take advantage of the enormous reach of this network with short form content in addition to short form, it seems likely that Zoomin.TV will join forces in the coming months with one of the larger global players in premium content production. It is great to see that besides creative production companies such as Endemol, Talpa and Eyeworks we also have a global player in the distribution world. See attached infographic.
