's-Hertogenbosch - Business & Cloud Integrator Ctac has expanded its contract with Action. The international retailer has been fully releasing Ctac's point-of-sale system (POS) XV Retail since 2008 and is also using Ctac's Omni Customer Loyalty program (OCL) . In order to better support Action's growth strategy, the XV Retail solution was further enriched with functionalities and the implementation time was greatly reduced. The latter gives Action's growth strategy significant - Total Cost of Ownership - benefits. This creates an even stronger foundation for further (inter) national expansion and innovations in retail. It is easy to see that Action is 'simple and surprising'. Simple, because all Action branches in Europe look the same in general. Surprisingly, Action is constantly changing two-thirds of the range in stores and introducing more than 150 new products every week. This view requires a POS system that can handle very large volumes at a rapid pace. In addition, flexible up-and-down must be easy and high performance is required. At Action, there is no server in every branch, but the architecture is designed so that the cash registers from all countries are directly connected to the XV Retail Online Server; in the unlikely event that there is no connection, the cash register will work and the sales will continue as usual. Thanks to the real-time connection with the underlying SAP ERP & CAR system, Action at the head office is completely in control. The big advantage of this is that the cash registers are always up-to-date. Price changes, new items or other corrections can be implemented centrally 24/7 and are immediately active at the cash registers, as well as updates to the software. In addition, Action has a 'single point of truth' by the central environment, which means that the right stock and turnover information is available in real time. Ctac delivers a platform for the future with the new generation of XV Retail software. The retailer outsources the 24/7 management of both XV Retail and OCL to Ctac. OCL is Ctac's online royalty platform and is used by Action to provide staff discounts and register this in all countries where Action is active. Jens Burgers, IT Director at Action: "We have always been very satisfied with XV Retail and OCL from Ctac. But we are continuously expanding, and Ctac advised us on a further development of the XV Retail solution. This way we are optimally prepared for the future and we are ready for further growth. "Henny Hilgerdenaar, CEO of Ctac:" That Action with a five-year contract again has a long-term connection with us, shows that there is much confidence in the future with Ctac. This is a good example of a multi-year partnership that we would like to build with our customers. I look forward to our further collaboration with Action, starting with the rollout of XV Retail 5 from Ctac. "
