With the acquisition of Valley Heating Services (VHS), 50five now has a nationwide network of installers in the United Kingdom. VHS continues as 50five UK, where it installs all devices in and around the house that are 'smart', such as smart heating. The installer is in the UK including Nest Pro Elite and Tesla Powerwall Certified Installer.

The 50five.nl launched a year and a half ago is a platform for smart home devices, such as smart thermostats and lighting, WiFi doorbells and security devices. Well-known brands that offer 50five are Nest, Honeywell, Philips Hue and the Ring. The smart-home market has a growth of more than 30 percent per year.

"It is important to guide our clients well in this new world: smart advice for every smart device. Installing these smart devices is only sometimes a difficult job. We offer this in addition to our own network of installers in the Netherlands and Belgium, now also in the United Kingdom, "says Manfred Klumpenaar, COO and founder of 50five.

The company now employs 70 staff - half of which is located in Eindhoven - and has seen the turnover increase from 0 euros in August 2016 to millions of euros (€ 5.4 million) for the first full 2017 financial year.

Klumpenaar of 50five: "With 50five we are now active in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom and Germany has since added. We will expand our team with another 20 people in the coming year. Our expectation is that we will come to an 8-digit turnover in 2018. "50five, established mid-2016, is a spin-out of ENGIE, a global energy company and service provider.
