Clothing group C & A wants to play a significant role in European e-commerce and rolls out its web shop to eleven new countries, including areas where it has no physical stores.

Today, C & A announced its intention to set up a new English-language web shop in 11 countries at CA.com. That brings the total to twenty. Below: Denmark, Finland, Greece and Sweden, where the company is not physically represented.

Nothing changes for customers in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

The new markets all receive the same offer at the same price. For the time being, marketing and order processing is centrally regulated.

Regarding its online strategy, C & A is certainly not a trendsetter in the fashion market and at most a follower. The company says nothing about its further digital plans, nor about the expectations. At most, they sound more than double the range of e-commerce activities more than double.

C & A claims a European market share of 7.3 percent, a plus of 0.1 percent compared to 2016. The company from Germany, owned by the Brenninkmeijer family, according to Die Welt is looking for new external investors.
