The own supermarket juice that Albert Heijn is preparing for YouTube will be shown sometime in the spring. That says spokesperson Erik Lückers on questions from Emerce.

Yesterday it became known that the retailer started the casting for a series, which has to connect with customers and employees in an innovative way.

The company has already gained experience with its own TV channel Appie Today and with course planner Sjoerd van de Laatste Downer, who has his own vlog. The first episode of Blij with Sjoerd was launched at the end of October 2016 and that series is mainly aimed at the 2000 Wajong youth employed by Albert Heijn.

Some episodes of Appie Today have been viewed half a million times, but the average is much lower.

The new series is played with vloggers and texts are partly written themselves, says Lückers. Who could not yet say what length the episodes get. "Well, longer than what you're used to on YouTube, but we all have to look at that. The advantage of this approach is that we can quickly turn the buttons. "

Little is known about the content, except that it is based on true stories from the supermarket. Furthermore, it is produced for a 'fraction of the total marketing budget'.
