In 2016, 11, 222, 645 articles were read by users in the Netherlands. In 2017 this increased to 18, 731, 777 items. Part of the increase can be explained by the introduction of Blendle Premium, which allows members to read a selection of the best newspapers and magazines for a fixed monthly fee.

Vodafone customers could try Blendle Premium for free in 2017 as part of their subscription. The NS encouraged reading in the train by promoting Blendle through the screens in the train. And at Albert Heijn to Go, visitors received a free cup of coffee at Blendle.

Klöpping does not discuss the commercial results. Last year the startup had to send some employees home because they had grown 'too fast'.
