Innovation and updates
Windows 10 is as-a-service available, so users are always up-to-date and assured of the latest innovations and security updates. Windows 10 is the most secure Windows ever, offering a fast and trusted user experience on a wide variety of devices, including PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One, HoloLens and more.

In addition, the new operating system offers many innovations for a more personal experience and optimum productivity on various devices, including:

  • Microsoft Edge - the new personal, responsive and productive browser that works on all Windows 10 devices. This makes it possible to quickly browse, read web pages, create and share with others.
  • Xbox integration - the integrated Xbox app gives gamers the opportunity to record, share and edit their best gaming moments with Game DVR. They also get the chance to play new games with friends on different devices, and play games that they stream directly from their Xbox One in their home to their Windows 10 tablets and PCs.
  • Start - The start button and taskbar feel familiar, whether you upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8, and give you instant access to useful things so you can work productively.

Starting today, users will be informed of their free upgrade in phases with notifications, and Windows 10 devices will become available at different points of sale.

Windows 10 Check-In - # Windows10tram
Upgrading to Windows 10 is free and very easy. But some consumers find the switch from the familiar software to the new Windows 10 exciting or have questions about it. That is why Microsoft Netherlands, together with partners, sets up a large number of Windows 10 Check-Ins, where customers can turn to all their questions. You will find these in, among other things, learning centers of Seniorweb, and in the stores of MediaMarkt, Dixons, BCC, MyCom, Paradigit, Alternate and Staples. In addition, users can check in via Windows.nl . And consumers can also act as Check-In themselves, for example for their family or sports club.

Today we opened the first Windows 10 Check-In in Rotterdam (010). The special # Windows10tram will operate as a Windows 10 Check-In in Rotterdam on the Coolsingel for five weeks and offers visitors inspiration, demos and information about Windows 10 and the upgrade. Together with fans, Windows Insiders and business relations, we celebrate today at this location that Windows 10 is available.
